Process
For this project I was responsible for the instructional design and eLearning development. I worked on my own to create the experience on 7taps and the script for the AI VoiceOver. When I set out to design this activity using 7taps I knew I needed to keep it short. I chose to focus on the collection management systems that museums use and the common practices that professionals have to categorize and organize collections within that system. I used videos featuring an AI text to speech feature to present the information in different formats and a one questions multiple choice assessment to measure the effectiveness of the content.
Project Outcomes
Creating this microlearning activity using 7taps I was able to experiment using a different platform. I enjoyed using 7taps and the features that it enabled. It is especially beneficial if the learning will primarily take place on a mobile device. The link can be shared and learners can access it from anywhere making 7taps a valuable resource. Using it to create this experience reinforced my enjoyment of using new technologies and platforms in my design.
